Eventovation: The Future Of Event Planning Has Arrived

February 25, 2016 signals a new era in the event professionals’ world. A day when Bizzabo launched its sub-brand, Eventovation.

Eventovation was launched with the purpose of creating a community of professional event organizers where members could come together to take part in an active discussion about the future of event planning.  

There are different aspects to the Eventovation community. One aspect is an invite only brunch series that brings together a select group of event professionals from a variety of industries and disciplines to talk about what’s coming next in the event planning world.

The first Eventovation brunch was focused on Trends of 2016, the biggest findings of Bizzabo’s 2016 Event Professionals of Tomorrow Survey Report. One trend of note involves the most effective methods for event promotion. The report found that of the nearly 500 organizers surveyed, most reported that email marketing was the most effective method for increasing event registrations.

Owner of Liz King Events, and founder of TechsyTalk, Liz King, said this about the Eventovation brunch series:

“Eventovation is an amazing opportunity for organizers to have a real discussion about the most pressing issues event organizers face every day. We love the idea of bringing planners together to talk about challenges and successes so we can grow the community and our support system. Social media platforms were also discussed. According to the report, Twitter and Facebook were the most popular platforms for organizers to use, while newer platforms like SnapChat and Pinterest represented a new opportunity for planners comfortable with using these new mediums.

Another aspect of Eventovation is a private Facebook Group where organizers come together to discuss anything event planning related. Group members have the opportunity to learn about the hottest industry trends, exchange knowledge and network. Moving forward, members of the Eventovation Facebook group will have access to exclusive content and to open interviews with event planning experts (in addition to other soon-to-be announced perks).
