GreenBook is one of the foremost market research companies in the world. Every year they hold several global conferences to create connections within consumer insights by bringing together the most innovative voices in the industry. Out of all of these conferences none is greater than IIeX (Insight Innovation Exchange) North America, which features over 150 speakers for 3 full days of groundbreaking content.

CHALLENGES

Every year IIeX North America grows larger and larger, placing increasingly greater demands on both the event organization team and the marketing team. The growth of IIeX North America placed an increasingly heavy burden on the teams involved, making it harder to focus on delighting attendees.

CLIENT SOLUTIONS

Back when both IIeX and Bizzabo were in earlier stages, GreenBook gave Bizzabo a try. At the time, both the attendees and the event team weren’t ready to the embrace the platform. As IIeX continued to grow, the event team tried using a variety of different platforms, but the team felt that their focus was divided between a lot of different platforms resulting in “mass confusion.” Additionally, each of these platforms lacked an intuitive UI and the capabilities that they had first experienced with Bizzabo.

BIZZABO SOLUTIONS

On the event planning front, the IIeX team used Bizzabo to reduce repetitive data entry, quickly launch websites, and automatically update databases. Any changes to the IIeX website were instantly reflected in the Bizzabo event app, while a built-in CRM allowed for the management of contact lists that seamlessly integrated with SalesForce. “Bizzabo made the most sense from a user experience and logistics that met the needs of our sales team and marketing team and production.”

For event promotion, the team greatly benefitted from the Ticket Boost feature, which encouraged “both registration and social engagement.” With Ticket Boost, a tool that leverages social media to turn attendees into event promoters, GreenBook generated an additional 113,477 social media impressions.

During the event, Fullmer and her team found that Bizzabo streamlined the on-site registration process and kept attendees up-to-date at all times with in-app messaging. Over 850 attendees joined the Bizzabo app community. This group went on to send over 4,400 in-app messages and 173 in-app LinkedIn invites. 

All of the above (plus sponsorship features and easily decipherable “Payment Status” notifications’ that allowed the team to follow up on unpaid invoices) set up the GreenBook team to drive event revenue, attendee satisfaction, and overall event success—not to mention, employee satisfaction. “The happiness level of our team,” notes Fullmer, “is immeasurably higher.”
