CHALLENGE

The DataRobot events team was tasked with producing a major virtual event that had never been done before. They wanted to show other companies how AI could accelerate their business during these challenging times. With a short timeline, the team had to find a virtual platform to host their event, plan and coordinate, and execute an event that they have never done before.

GOAL: DELIVERING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE WITH A STREAMLINED PLATFORM

DataRobot’s top priority was customer experience. The team wanted an end-to-end product that would streamline the experience for them as well as their customers and prospects. At the time, the team didn’t know what the agenda would look like or how many sessions would be pre-recorded, so they needed a platform that could be built out continuously.

 

SOLUTION: PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE AND INTUITIVE SOLUTION

The DataRobot team felt empowered to make decisions and get started on the platform quickly because of all the resources at their disposal. Several Bizzabo features were a key piece of creating an exceptional experience for the team. The BizzaKnowledge center houses videos and classes that provided the team with a personalized learning experience and the chat boards allowed them to search by keyword to find answers to common questions and interact with other Bizzabo customers. In addition, the team was able to pull their own data reports and make real-time decisions because of how user-friendly the interface was. Finally, the team leveraged the salesforce integration to see which contacts from their top accounts were registered and which promotions were performing well, allowing them to make decisions for future events.

GOAL: DRIVING VALUE WITH DATA-DRIVEN DECISIONS

As the name suggests, DataRobot is a data-driven company. In order to prove their event success, they needed thorough data analytics to tell a proper story. They used Bizzabo’s comprehensive data capabilities to pull their own reports daily.

SOLUTION: REAL-TIME, USER-FRIENDLY DATA ANALYTICS CAPABILITIES

The user-friendliness of the Bizzabo platform made it easy for the team to gather real-time insights and make split-second decisions. For example, on day 2 of the event, the keynote speaker had technical difficulties on their end, and the team was concerned that some attendees might drop from the session. With Bizzabo, the DataRobot events team was “able to go into the analytics in real-time and see how many people were dropping off and after how long,” and they found that it didn’t have that much impact on their session attendance. They were able to use insights like who stayed for the shortest or longest amount of time to determine which attendees would be best primed for event follow-up as potential customers and which sessions were most relevant to their audience.

As far as measuring pipeline generation and customer expansion, the DataRobot team used the engagement insights they collected through the Bizzabo platform as well as the Salesforce integration to see which customers from top accounts were signing up.

GOAL: PROVIDING VALUE TO SPONSORS

To drive value for both attendees and sponsors, the DataRobot team provided a virtual exhibitor hall experience on the Bizzabo platform. They wanted to show sponsors that virtual events could provide just as much value for them as their in-person counterparts.

SOLUTION: OFFER BEST-IN-CLASS VIRTUAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The team gave each of the sponsors their own landing page on the event website, which they could use to upload documents and images like collateral or logos in order to recreate the experience of an exhibitor booth. Bizzabo Interact, a streaming solution designed for smaller sessions where engagement is key, provided sponsors with the ability to use live broadcasting. They were able to share screens, chat with the group, upload presentations, and even host one-on-one breakout sessions. The breakouts gave sponsors the chance to go more in-depth and tailor their demos or discussion to what the prospective customer was interested in.
